We are original rustic woodsy no frills just nature Camping.  If you are looking for a highly manicured campground that looks like a golf course look elsewhere.  If you are looking for unadulterated(no Roundup) waterfront Rugged, Natural, rustic woodsy camping then we are for you. We leave natural buffer areas for wildlife and to harvest seedlings in the fall to transplant throughout the campground. We don’t use herbicides(Roundup) to kill all of the flora and fauna throughout the campground. 

Each site at our rustic campsite and riverside camping has a picnic table, firepit and grill. We also have pimped out, uber clean porta potties with lights, deodorant, sanitizer, wipes, air freshener and they are cleaned/restocked each day

Showers/pool available a short drive away Ottawa Swimming Pool or Oglesby Municipal Pool for a small fee

Situated right on the beautiful sandy wooded shores of the Illinois River. Our campsite and riverside camping sites have 100% rustic (no electric, no water) ORIGINAL camping for tents, pop ups, tear drops. We have pimped out ultra-clean porta potties with motion sensor lights, spray underarm deodorant, wipes, hand sanitizer and automatic air freshener that are bleached multiple times per day. We allow well-behaved dogs on leashes at this starved rock camping and riverside camping location.

Enjoy a weekend spent hiking the canyons of Starved Rock State Park, biking the I & M Canal or kayaking one of our locations.

This location allows dogs for (camping/kayak rentals/tours) must be well behaved, sign pet waiver and keep pet leashed, attended at all times and picked up after.
